DESOPADEC Commissioner Dies

The Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nationality in the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission, DESOPADEC, Mr. Ikechukwu Akozor is dead.

His demise was announced by the Special Assistant on Special Duties to the Delta State Government, Ovie Ossai Success.

Mr Akazor reportedly died in a hospital on Thursday, in Asaba the Delta state capital.

Taking to his Facebook timeline, Ossai wrote;

“Sad One: We just lost Desopadec Commissioner Representing Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality Mr. Ikechukwu Akozor.

“His death is a sad one to Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and Ndokwa Nation. May His Soul RIP.”

Akazor’s death is coming over a year after Hon. Joyce Overah, another commissioner died after a brief illness.
