DHQ official, 2 others kidnapped by Gunmen in Abuja

Gunmen has kidnapped an officer attached to the Defence Headquarters.

The unidentified gunmen are demanding for the sum of 100 million naira as ransome.

A tragic incident happened in Mpape area of the Federal Capital Territory on Friday night as some unidentified gunmen abducted a Nigerian Navy officer attached to the Defence Headquarters.

The kidnapped officer has been identified as Lt. Cynthia Akor. She was kidnapped alongside two other persons by the armed bandits in their residence at Abuja.

According to reports reaching Daily Report Nigeria, the kidnappers have demanded the huge of 100 million as a ransome for the victims.

Although the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command is yet to confirm the incident, but a valid source who wishes to claim anonymous revealed that the among the three people that were kidnapped on Friday night in the Mpape area is a DHQ official, Cynthia Akor.

Efforts are currently being made to reach the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Markus Kangye, and the Director of Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Tukur Gusau as they are yet to make any statement regarding the kidnap.
