In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Boukan Godwin, the group said the current realities and developmental needs of the constituency demand purposeful, competent, and visionary representation at the National Assembly.

According to the group, pressing concerns such as infrastructural deficits, youth empowerment, economic growth, and equitable representation require effective leadership capable of delivering measurable results.

The diaspora constituents described leadership as a blend of character, competence, and commitment to service, noting that while some traits may be innate, true leadership is defined by ethical grounding, innovation, effective communication, and dedication to empowering others.

“It is on this basis that we respectfully and strongly call on Hon. Frank Pukon (PhD) to present himself as a candidate for the position of Member, House of Representatives, Warri Federal Constituency,” the statement read.

The group stated that its call was based on what it described as careful observation of Pukon’s track record and public service capacity rather than sentiment or personal affiliation.

They cited his tenure as Councillor representing Diebiri Ward in Warri South West, during which they said he demonstrated administrative competence, legislative understanding, and commitment to infrastructural development and community advancement.

According to the diaspora group, his experience at the grassroots level reflects readiness for higher legislative responsibility and a deep understanding of constituency needs.

The group maintained that Warri Federal Constituency stands at a critical crossroads and deserves representation that is energetic, inclusive, forward-thinking, and accountable.

They urged Hon. Frank Pukon (PhD) to heed what they described as a collective call and step forward to contest in 2027 in the interest of sustainable development, unity, and progress across Warri North, Warri South, and Warri South West Local Government Areas.
