The Delta Ijaw Comrades Community, DICC, has congratulated it’s Interim Coordinator, Comrade Austin Ozobo on his clinching of the Activist of The Year Award at the recently held Gbaramatu Voice Awards 2020.
Ozobo, who is the National President of the Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, was honored over astuteness in speaking for the oppressed and marginalized Niger Delta region.

In a congratulatory message signed by it’s Interim Secretary, Comrade Williams Welemu, the DICC expressed satisfaction that the reasons behind it’s formation are bearing good fruits.

The DICC however urgedComrade Ozobo to remain steadfast in his defensive mission of the Niger Delta against her hegemonic oppressors.
“Congratulations our Chairman. This is yet another proof that you mean well for the people of Niger Delta and will keep being a voice towards the wellbeing of the region.
“This is clearly a deserved accolade and we celebrate the fruitfulness of our establishment. We urge you to remain resolute and steadfast in being a vocal cord for the Niger Delta against her oppressors and unrepentant abusers.”
“Congratulations once again and long live the struggle until victory is ours,” the statement read.
Recall that Comrade Austin Ozobo was awarded the Activist of the Year at the Gbaramatu Voice 2020 Awards that held on September 30th at the Presidential Hotel, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Comrade Daniel Ezekiel took home the gong at the 2019 Awards Gbaramatu Voice Awards which held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
