In a significant development for the Diebiri community, Hon. Moses Douglas was affirmed as the Chairman of the Diebiri Governing Council (DGC) during a special event held at the Igade Town Hall in Batan community.
The event, which took place on Monday, August 5, 2024, solidified Douglas’ position following a series of notable events within the Council’s leadership contest.
The affirmation came after a thorough screening process overseen by a committee led by Comrade Frank Pukon.
The committee’s decision followed the disqualification of one of Douglas’ opponents due to misconduct, while another candidate chose to voluntarily withdraw from the race.
This sequence of events paved the way for Douglas’ unopposed affirmation as Chairman.
