Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy and the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, has made history by becoming the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

She moderated the Youth Action Day at the 2024 UNGA, which was themed “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”

In addition to her role as moderator, DJ Cuppy also delivered a musical performance following her keynote session.

Her session set a record as the largest youth gathering in the history of the UN Headquarters.

Notable attendees included the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs and the president of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves.
