The dollar to naira exchange rate at the black market, also known as the parallel market (Aboki fx), has hit N1590, with buyers purchasing at N1580 and sellers at N1590, according to sources at Bureau De Change (BDC) on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

In related news, the Nigerian government has announced plans to commission 30,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered vehicles within the next 90 days, signaling an end to purchasing fuel at high prices.

Michael Oluwagbemi, Project Director and CEO of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, stated, “The days of purchasing Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at prices between ₦750 and ₦1000 per liter are over.”
