The Ijaw Youth Council World-wide has announced a candle procession in honor of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, the Dowen College pupil who died from internal injuries from an alleged battery.
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that the 12-year-old JS2 pupil was bullied and beaten by his seniors at Dowen College.
In a letter on Monday evening, President of Council, Timothy Igbifa, instructed all Ijaw youths across the country to hold a candle light in honor of a fallen star.

The letter reads;
Igbifa’s directive was further reiterated by Comr. Doubra Okotete, Chairman IYC Western Zone, who charged on youths in the zone to turn out en mass for the procession.
Describing the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jr. has excruciating, Doubra wrote;
In line with the call from the presidency of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Dcn (Comr.) Peter Timothy Igbifa CGPA, CPIN: the Zonal Executive led by Dr. Doubra Okotete urges all Clan Chairmen, Women Leader, parliamentarians, stakeholders and particular Ijaw people from Western Zone to converge at NPA, by 6 pm for a brief peace walk before 7: pm as directed—for the Candle Light of our rising star.
We implore all to be in black and those outside Warri should observe the candle light in their various locations respectively.
