Carrington training base is buzzing with the arrival of a couple of players at the venue to take part in a series of routine tests as pre-season kicks off under Erik Ten Hag.

Manchester United pre-season have resumed as new coach Erik Ten Hag takes charge of his first training session at Carrington ground.

The Dutchman, who would have wished to have several new arrivals through the door by the time testing got underway at their training base, has endured a frustrating start to the window.

Ten Hag, who has been handed the task of taking the premier league giant back to the top wasted no time in introducing major changes in the training method

Here are four changes that have already been implemented by the gaffer.

Training Drills

Erik Ten Hag trusts firmly in his philosophy. He has already introduced intense training drills which include high brain work and also drills to improve players’ technical ability.

Double Sessions

The Coach has introduced a double training session, to make sure his players are as fit as they can be ahead of the pre-season tour and new campaign.

Low Grass Lenght

One of the major concerns for Erik Ten Hag was his intention to have the grass on the pitches at United’s Carrington training complex cut to 15mm, to allow for quicker passing. This was taken care of by the club’s ground staff.

Dining Together

Under the previous manager, Ralf Ragnick, players were allowed to decide on their eating schedule.

However, Ten Hag has ruled a line over such acts. All players are mandated to eat together and at the same time with the staff to encourage team spirit and togetherness .
