The Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday brought former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and his son before the Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations linked to terrorism financing.
The duo was arraigned before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik on a five-count charge, where they both denied all allegations levelled against them.

According to court documents, Malami is accused of deliberately failing to act on terrorism-financing case files allegedly submitted to his office while he served as Nigeria’s chief law officer, an omission the DSS claims amounted to aiding and abetting terrorism.
Prosecutors further alleged that Malami and his son were involved in preparatory activities connected to terrorism, including the unlawful possession of prohibited firearms and ammunition without valid authorisation.
Items reportedly recovered and listed in the charge include a Sturm Magnum firearm, 16 live cartridges, and 27 spent shells of the same ammunition type.
The court was also informed that the former Attorney General had previously been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with separate allegations bordering on fraud and money laundering.
Justice Abdulmalik adjourned the matter to a later date to allow for continuation of proceedings.
