Tubotu charged his colleagues to give the needed financial, mental and spiritual support towards ensuring that Pudiya is voted into the Delta State House of Assembly.

Speaking with Daily Report Nigeria after the plenary, Tubotu said;

“Before I came into the 7th assembly, I overheard the antecedents of Pudiya right from the 6th Assembly. He made so much contribution as a young man with so much experience.

“Today, I’m so happy working with him because of his experience. I believe he will make more impact advancing to the State House of Assembly with his experience.

“I was overwhelmed with the support he received when he declared in Tamigbe. I believe with their support, he will emerge victorious.

“At my convenience, I always pray for him and that is why I moved the motion for all of us to support him physically, spiritually, financially and otherwise.”

Tubotu stressed willingness to canvass for delegates in Burutu South Constituency to vote for Pudiya, who he said was the right man to represent the people.

Quizzed on the confident level he has for the aspirants, Tubotu said he has no iota of doubt that his colleague would perform well.

The motion was seconded by Odafe Ekereke of Ojobo Ward 9, and adopted by the House.

Also speaking to our correspondent, Takeme Spencer, Leader of the Burutu Legislative Arm, said the endorsement of Pudiya was timely, and as such, the Councillors will do everything right to see him victorious.

On why the House unanimously supported the endorsement, Takeme said;

“Pudiya is a forceful legislator in the House. And as a Majority Leader, for him to take the decision to contest for the Burutu South Constituency, it is a record. And, it is a good one to the Burutu Legislative Arm. We will give him the needed support to see him voted in.”

On his part, the aspirants said he was overwhelmed by the support thrown at him by his colleagues.

“I’m overwhelmed, and endorsement of such magnitude is an added responsibility upon myself to perform, and I pray to God that I’ll be able to meet that responsibility.

“My colleagues have shown good grace, to endorse me for this position based on my capacity and I’m overwhelmed,” he said.

Already an experienced lawmaker owing to his two terms as a Councillor, Pudiya promises to initiate socio-economic policies for the betterment of his constituents when voted in.
