DTHA: I’ll Biodiversify Burutu South Economy – ADC Candidate, Tabai

The 2023 candidate of the African Democratic Congress for Burutu South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Amb. Prince Tabai Bibobra Brian, has revealed his plans for the constituency.

According to Tabai, he will develop a bio-diversified economy for the constituency if elected into office in 2023.

The young politician said this while appearing on Daily Report Nigeria’s interactive program, Road to 2023.

Quizzed on his plans for the constituency, the ADC candidate noted that he would arm himself with the power and role of government as clearly stated in the nation’s constitution.

He said;

“Section 20 of the 1999 constitution has empowered us to fight for laws that can develop, protect and improve the environment. Going by that, I’m going to do what the constitution has empowered me to do.

“I have a plan to protect, develop and improve Burutu South. I have a roadmap to transform Burutu into a biodiversified constituency. The constituency will be the highest exporter of bio products.

“We’ll make basic cooking fuel available to the people of Burutu south.”

Reminded on the role structure plays in politics in Burutu Local Government and the slim chances his party has in that regard, Tabai downplayed the notion that structure will determine the outcome of the 2023 elections.

He said;

“Structure is the people. It is beyond just party. It is what you have done for the people for them to become loyal to you. The ruling party in Delta State has not done much to maintain their structure.

“Structure is not given. It is earned. The people decides who leads them with their votes. Without the people, there is no structure.

“Structure is not money. There have been cases were the people were given money but they paying party did not get their votes.

“And as far as I know, I have more structure than any party in Burutu South because I have not been given the opportunity to lead in the past. The incumbent parties have done enough to show that they don’t have structure as projected.

“The structure is the youths. If the youths are with you, you will win. INEC records show that more youths registered to vote in the 2023 elections. Power lies in the youths and will determine the direction of power in coming election.”
