Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state has ordered for immediate payment of pension to all retirees in the state.
The governor equally approved the release of promotion of civil servants for the year 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Umahi stated this through a statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Orji Uchenna Orji shortly after the state executive council meeting that took place at the old Government House Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State.
According to him: “The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Chief David Nweze Umahi, has graciously approved the release of the promotion of civil servants for the year 2019, 2020 and 2021 to all deserving civil servants in the state.

“The Governor has also approved the payment of pension to all pensioners in the state with effect from March 22, 2022,”
