Ebonyi state governor, David Umahi has told the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that his state will not be part of the struggle for a sovereign nation.
Umahi, who is the Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum, lamented that Ebonyi people were being marginalised and not regarded in the South-East.
The former presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress disclosed that the marginalisation of his people is the reason the state will not take part in the struggle for the actualization of Biafra.

Umahi stated this during a reception to welcome him back to the state from the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress, which held in Abuja last week.
“In the comity of South-East, Ebonyi people are not regarded. I continue to say that Ebonyi will never be Biafra.” he said
Recall that Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS), has been leading the fight for the actualization of Biafra over the years.
Stating his reason, Kanu said the South-East is been marginalised by the Federal Government.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has voided the primary election that produced Senator Godswill Akpabio as candidate of the All Progressives Congress, for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial district.
