A front line aspirant for the upcoming primary elections in Edo state under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has reportedly stepped down for the incumbent governor of the state, Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Daily Report Nigeria can confirm that the member representing Oredo Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Omoregie Ogbeide Ihama has thrown in the towel for the serving Governor Obaseki.

Omoregie had promised to withdraw the court suit he earlier filed against Obaseki, seeking a court judgment to prevent the governor from partaking in the PdP primary elections in a Federal High Court in Port Harcour, the Rivers state capital.
