The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned the lawmaker representing Egor Constituency, Hon. Natasha Irobosa, to respond to allegations of misconduct following a viral video that sparked widespread conversation on social media. The legislator, who is married to music star, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has been at the centre of intense online scrutiny in recent days.
The summon was issued on Tuesday during plenary, with Speaker Blessing Agbebaku stating that the Assembly could no longer ignore the public backlash generated by the video. He said the lawmaker must appear before the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges within one week to explain her actions.

According to the Speaker, the incident has affected the public’s perception of the legislature. “Hon. Natasha Irobosa has been summoned to appear before the Ethics and Privileges Committee due to her recent conduct which has been trending online. This conduct drags the name of the House into the mud, and it is the responsibility of members to conduct themselves well,” Agbebaku said.
He stressed that the Assembly is composed of “cerebral minds” who must not be associated with unnecessary controversies, adding that the House would not tolerate actions capable of bringing it into disrepute. The committee is expected to investigate the matter and submit its findings within two weeks.

Mrs Irobosa has been trending after a video surfaced showing her in a heated exchange with her husband, 2Baba—fueling public speculation about the couple’s private affairs.
The clip attracted widespread commentary, with many Nigerians questioning the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
Before venturing into politics, she was known largely for her visibility in the entertainment circle.
Her emergence as a first-term lawmaker was widely regarded as a fresh voice for Egor Constituency, particularly on community and women-centred issues.
Her scheduled appearance before the ethics committee is expected to attract significant public interest as the Assembly begins a formal review of the incident.
In November, she and 2Baba welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, after social media speculation earlier that day indicated she had gone into labour.
