Police kills Passerby Amid Pursuit of Murder Suspect in Edo
An operative of the Edo State Police Command on Saturday killed one Moses Adam while trying to nab a crime suspect.
Moses who was in a passing by vehicle, was shot dead in the course of trying to nab Ebuka Nwaechie, who was fleeing.
Moses initially lost his thigh and was immediately rushed to the Edo Specialist Hospital.

Recalled was the case of murder of one Bright Orikose on the 24th of Dec, 2020.
Ebuka Nwaechie was said to have hand in the murder and police have been searching for him since then until that yesterday when he eventually ran out luck.

He was sighted along First East Circular Road by St Joseph Catholic Church.
Consequently, the police quickly began operating and eventually arrested the suspect.
The fumbled officer will go through administrative trial for determining his blameworthiness as said by the PPRO, Bello Kontongs.
The dejected Commisioner of Police, Philip Agbadu, had sympathized with the deceased family.
Kontongs further said that they have discovered the member of police who shot the dead and he has been apprehended. ”
The PPRO statement reads: “The Edo State Police Command wish to inform the public that on 17/09/2021 at about 18:00 hours acting on a credible information, one Ebuka Nwaechie who was involved in the alleged murder of Bright Orikose on 24/12/2020….. ”
“The Command deeply regret to inform the public that in the process of the arrest, a member of the police team fired a shot in a bid to restrain the fleeing suspected which unfortunately hit one of the occupant of a moving vehicle identified as Moses Adam and injured his tigh. The victim was rushed to the Edo Specialist Hospital where he gave up the ghost,” the PPRO said.
