Controversial Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem stirred the pot by attributing 2Face’s rise to fame to his former bandmate, Blackface. Eedris insisted that Blackface, as the leader of Plantashun Boiz, played a pivotal role in 2Baba’s success during their time together.
During his appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu, Deity Cole, and Husband Material, Eedris emphasized in Pidgin that “Most of the things wey 2face be today, na Blackface make am happen.”

The trio of Blackface, 2Baba (then known as 2Face), and Faze formed the iconic band Plantashun Boiz. However, the group disbanded after internal conflicts, leading each member to pursue solo careers.
Blackface has been vocal in interviews, accusing 2Face of contributing to the band’s breakup and even alleging that 2Face stole his hit song ‘African Queen.’
