Eedris Abdulkareem, the Nigerian singer, has criticized his fellow artist Burna Boy for allegedly expressing a desire for his death. The rift between the two musicians stemmed from comments made by Abdulkareem in an upcoming podcast, which prompted Burna Boy to publicly respond.
In his reaction, Burna Boy appeared to blame the individuals who contributed to Abdulkareem’s medical expenses during a kidney transplant in 2022, rather than directly addressing the content of Abdulkareem’s comments.

Expressing his disappointment, Abdulkareem took to Instagram to address Burna Boy’s remarks, describing them as “truly saddening and very disappointing.” He expressed his dismay at Burna Boy making light of his health crisis and shifting blame onto those who aided him during his time of need.
Abdulkareem went on to announce his intention to release a new single soon, presumably to address the ongoing conflict between himself and Burna Boy.
“I will reply through the only medium that I have… and that is music; so I will be dropping my heartfelt response via a single aptly named ‘Essay to Burna Boy’ in a fortnight,” he added.
