The Bayelsa State Government has summoned the Hausa community, and the leaders of Yenizue-Epie following unrest caused by a tricycle rider and his passenger.
Governor Douye Diri called for a meeting between the two communities on Friday, April 21.
Daily Report Nigeria learnt that more than two persons lost their lives in the state capital over the incident that allegedly began when a passenger paid a tricycle operator N100 while the rider demanded N150 fare.

While the altercation continued, the rider stabbed the passenger, Douglas Eedris which led to his death.

An uproar ensued when a mob at the Yenizue-Epie area of Yenagoa where the incident occurred subsequently attacked the Huasa rider to death.
This triggered an outburst of violence between the Hausa community in Yenagoa and the inhabitants of Yenizue-Epie, making the state government invite both parties.
