The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested 43 individuals suspected of internet-related fraud in Toto, Nasarawa State, following a coordinated operation on Friday.
In a statement posted on its official X account on Saturday, the EFCC said, “Officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, May 30, 2025, arrested 43 suspected internet fraudsters in Toto, Nasarawa State. Their arrest followed actionable intelligence which linked them to fraudulent internet activities.”
The operation led to the seizure of numerous electronic devices and other items believed to be tools or proceeds of cybercrime.

The commission recovered “64 mobile phones, among them, high-end brands such as iPhones and Samsung models, an iPad, four laptop computers, and five motorcycles.”
The EFCC added that investigations are ongoing to “ascertain the full extent of the suspects’ involvement in cybercrime networks,” and assured that “once investigations are completed, the individuals in custody will be formally charged in court.”
Two Killed, Multiple Abducted In Simultaneous Bandit Attacks In Katsina
At least two people have been killed and several others abducted following coordinated bandit attacks on Damari in Sabuwa Local Government Area and Faras in Matazu LGA of Katsina State.
Security analyst Bakatsine revealed the incident on X on Saturday, reporting that the attacks occurred simultaneously on Friday night.
