Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 74 individuals suspected to be involved in internet fraud.
The suspects were arrested on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Joyous Hotel in the Nyanya area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following what the agency described as “actionable intelligence” on their alleged involvement in cybercrime.

In a statement shared on the agency’s X page on Monday, the EFCC said, “They were arrested on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Joyous Hotel, Nyanya in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.”
According to the commission, several items were recovered during the operation, including 86 phones, three motorcycles, and one rifle pistol.
The EFCC confirmed that the suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
