  • The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained 10 officers from its Lagos Zonal Command over alleged involvement in the theft of operational items.

  •  This move comes shortly after the agency dismissed 27 workers for fraudulent activities and misconduct, signaling a renewed commitment to transparency and accountability.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken bold steps to cleanse its ranks of corrupt tendencies, detaining 10 officers from its Lagos Zonal Command and dismissing 27 workers for fraudulent activities and misconduct.

According to EFCC Chairman Mr. Ola Olukoyede, the detained officers are under investigation for failing to account for critical operational items.

“The officers are answering questions related to the theft of some operational items that they could not account for.

“Investigators are making good progress, and those found culpable will face internal disciplinary processes,” the EFCC said in a statement.
