The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is expected to release prominent social media influencer VeryDarkMan on Tuesday. According to sources, the EFCC plans to formally charge him in court on Thursday.

VeryDarkMan was arrested after criticizing a bank over alleged unauthorized transactions from his mother’s account. His legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the arrest and stated that a team of policemen arrested VeryDarkMan along with his friend, C Park.

Abuja youths staged a protest on Monday demanding VeryDarkMan’s release and questioning President Tinubu’s potential involvement.

The protesters condemned the arrest and detention as unlawful, calling for transparency and vowing to escalate their grievances to the Nigerian Human Rights Commission.
