The EFCC has confirmed the arrest of 40 notorious internet fraudsters in Niger state.

The suspects were arrested following credible intelligence, and items such as cars and women underwears were recovered from them.
Men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kaduna Zonal command have arrested 40 Internet fraudsters.
According to reports, the suspects were arrested during two sting operations in Nigeria state.
Following credible intelligence, the suspected yahoo boys were arrested in Bida and Minna areas of Niger State.
Confirming the arrest in a statement released by the board, it’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale said the agency received news of fraudulent activities linked to the suspects, and swung into action.
They were subsequently arrested and detained.
Items recovered from them include: were four ladies’ underwear, a waist bead, three calabashes decorated with feathers, locally made soap and sponge, a bottle of alcoholic drink, and 20 cowries—items believed to be fetish objects.
Other recovered items include three vehicles, eight power generators, one Hisense air conditioner, two power stabilizers, 10 motorcycles, eight laptop computers, four Bluetooth speakers, and 60 Android phones.
Oyewale added that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
