Ejimakor Berates Northern Group Over Call Not To Release Nnamdi Kanu

Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Pro-Biafra agitator, Nnamdi Kanu, has lambasted the Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, over its anti-Kanu remarks.

DAILY REPORT NG reports that United Nations Council’s Working Group on Arbitrary Detention had called on the Nigerian Government to release Nnamdi Kanu.

But CNG asked the UN not to interfere in Nigeria’s internal legal processes, warning that releasing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB would lead to more violence in Nigeria.

Reacting, Ejimakor said it was disrespectful to the United Nations, UN, for CNG to ask the Federal Government not to release his client.

In a tweet, the legal counsel wrote: “The call by the Coalition of Northern Groups for disobedience of the UN directives on #MNK is contemptuous.

“The diatribe against the UN added insult to injury. I expect Nigerian Bar and other Nigerians to censure the call and advise prompt compliance with the directives.”
