The men of the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Akure, Ondo State have allegedly arrested a minimum of 150 political thugs at Ita Awure/Efon Junction in Efon Alaaye in Ekiti State.

According to reports, the political thugs were heading towards Ado Ekiti for the primaries of some of the political parties ahead of the impending State Governorship Election to be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

The arrest according to witnesses, was conducted around 3 am on Wednesday.

The soldiers said the suspects will be taken to Owens Barracks in Akure for further investigation.

However, the Public Relations Officer of the Brigade, Akin Omojokun, when contacted, confirmed the arrest and said the Brigade will soon announce the development.
