Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has praised former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar for his role in implementing economic policies under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.
El-Rufai stated that Atiku deserves credit for overseeing the economic policies, but is often overlooked.
According to El-Rufai, “Nobody gives Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the credit for economic policymaking under the Obasanjo administration.

Many of the things we did, we did under his leadership. Maybe because we don’t write a lot and people don’t read history.”
He added, “We tend to forget, only remember negative things. Maybe it is part of human nature to recall only the negatives and forget the positives.”
El-Rufai made these remarks during a condolence visit to the family of late elder statesman Edwin Clark, alongside Atiku.
He also commended Clark’s work, saying, “I call on you as a family to always continue the good work. The most important part of that good work is to always continue what he has always stood for—One Nigeria.”
Police Deny Knowledge Of Missing ₦180m From VDM’s NGO Account
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has denied any knowledge of the alleged disappearance of ₦180 million from the account of a Non-Governmental Organisation owned by social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
According to the FCT Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, “The FCT Police Command is not aware of any case involving VDM’s missing funds and is not conducting any investigation into it. The individual in question should be contacted to clarify where the matter was reported, as there is no record of such a case with the FCT Police Command.”
