Elections: APC Realizes ₦135m From Sales of Form in Ondo And Edo

A minimum of a hundred and thirty-five million Naira (₦130,000,000) has been realized so far from the sales of aspirant forms in the neighboring states of Edo and Ondo by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The fee is made of the fee for expression of interest form which is pegged at two million and five hundred thousand Naira ( ₦2,500,000), and that of the nomination form which stands at twenty million naira (₦20,000,000).

So far, six governorship aspirants have purchased their forms to participate in the states Primary elections billed for June 22.

The All Progressive Congress, APC lashed out a heavy price tag of ₦22.5 million on electoral forms for the forthcoming governorship elections in Ondo and Edo states.

It would be recalled that the party through it’s National Organizing Secretary, Mr Emma Ibediro, had rolled out the timetable for the APC’s primary elections for the two states respectively on May 20.

Mr Emma announced a ₦2.5 million Expression of Interest form fee and a ₦20 million price tag for the party’s Nomination Form.

He also announced that the party’s sale of gubernatorial forms for Edo state would span through May 20 and terminate on June 2, while the submission of forms would end on June 3.

The list of governorship aspirants who have purchased and return their forms includes the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki, Mr Osaro Obaz, Mr Matthew Iduoriyekemwe, Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Mr Chris Ogiemwonyi, and Dr Pius Odubu.
