He will stay at RC Strasbourg for the 2025–26 season and then join Stamford Bridge in 2026.
The Emanuel Emegha Chelsea move gives the Blues a long-term option up front.
Meanwhile, Emegha broke through in Ligue 1 last season.
He scored 14 goals and laid on three assists in 27 league games, and he helped Strasbourg qualify for European competition via the Conference League.
Consequently, several clubs chased him before he chose Chelsea.
BlueCo links both clubs, and the transfer shows how the two clubs now trade talent regularly.
That pipeline has produced loans and permanent deals, and Emegha’s signing looks like a planned step rather than a panic buy.
Chelsea closed the window without signing another striker because they already had Emegha lined up.

The club also weighed Liam Delap who is out for about 10–12 weeks due to injury and decided the confirmed future signing reduced the need for an emergency recruit.
“Proud and grateful to sign with Chelsea FC. I’ll be joining the club in 2026 and can’t wait for this next step in my career. The journey continues.” – Emmanuel Emegha said.
