Emmanuel Amuneke Eyes Super Eagles Head Coach Role, Confirms Application to NFF

According to a report from DAILY POST, former Nigerian winger Emmanuel Amuneke has thrown his hat into the ring for the position of the next head coach of the Super Eagles.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officially opened applications for the role on Friday, following the expiration of the contract of the previous coach, Jose Peseiro. In response to the vacancy, the NFF outlined the requirements for potential candidates.

Confirming his candidacy, Amuneke stated, “Yes, I did apply to be the next manager,” in an interview with journalist Osazu Obayiwana.

At 53 years old, Emmanuel Amuneke emerges as one of the prominent contenders for the role, given his extensive experience in both playing and coaching. Notably, he has previously managed the Nigeria U-17 side and served as the head coach of the Tanzania national team.
