Emmanuel Amuneke Named Heartland FC New Head Coach

Emmanuel Amuneke has pledged to guide Heartland FC back to the top of Nigerian football following his appointment as the club’s new head coach.

Amuneke was introduced at a ceremony held at the Imo State Governor’s office, hosted by Governor Hope Uzodinma.

Heartland FC, who were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season, will compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL) for the upcoming season.

Emmanuel Amuneke emphasized his commitment to the club, stating, “I am a person with clear objectives, and I only take on tasks I am confident in handling.”

Reflecting on his past achievements, he recalled how he successfully led Tanzania to qualify for the AFCON after 39 years, despite initial skepticism.

He assured supporters, “With your support, we will work hard to restore Heartland FC to its former glory.”
