Emomotimi Guwor has been elected Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
Guwor, who represents Warri South West Constituency, was elected unopposed on Tuesday.
Members of the 8th assembly were inaugurated by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the immediate-past Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Guwor was awarded the Best Performing Lawmaker of the 7th Assembly at the Merit and Honorary Awards, MAHA 2023.

Guwor received the honour alongside Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rev. Francis Waive, who emerged Best Performing Senator and House of Representatives Member respectively.
Meanwhile, Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo of Ethiope East Constituency was elected Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
