Following the recently dissolvement of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in the country, the Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawelle, has said that the disbanded SARS is needed at the state to help secure lives and properties.
This was disclosed by the Governor while addressing newsmen on Friday, October 23.
According to the Governor, tremendous development have been recorded in the state in the area of peace building, which was possible with the support, commitment and professional contribution of the recently disbanded SARS of the Nigeria Police.
“I will personally seek audience with Mr President on this issue. We need the FSARS or its equivalent in Zamfara state because we have seen their positive impact in spite their alleged excesses,” the Governor said.
