Eniekebi Ezekiel has emerged winner of the maiden of edition of the Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney, Burutu.
Eniekebi, who hails from Ojobo community, Burutu Local Government Area, clinched the N100,000 grand prize and plaque after amassing 19 wins and cumulative points of 1517 from 22 games played.
Speaking after claiming victory, the champion said;

“I’m very grateful to have emerged winner of this tournament. I specially commend the organizer, Tare Magbei for putting up a tournament of this nature to unearth champions.
“This has become a breeding ground for future state, national and international champions. Again, I’m very grateful.”
Eniekebi was closely followed by Alari Wareebi from Egodo, who won 18 games to score cumulative points of 1757 from a total of 22 games played.
Wareebi was rewarded for his efforts with N70,000 prize for first runner-up.
Meanwhile, Godwin Angoye of Ayakoromor emerged second runner-up after winning 18 games to score 1595 cumulative points from 22 games.
Angoye took home the N50,000 cash prize for emerging second runner-up.
The maiden edition of the Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney held from December 20 to 21, 2022 at the Burutu Local Government Secretariat.
The tourney is a brainchild of a digital entrepreneur, Tare Magbei, Founder and CEO of Tee Web Services.
