Plateau Crisis: Enugu Evacuates Citizens From UNIJOS

Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has ordered the safe evacuation of Enugu indigenes who are students of the University of Jos.

The evacuation team was led by Hon Chidi Ilogbede, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs.

Chidi disclosed that 37 evacuated students were returned to the state on Sunday, while 28 others were conveyed to Abuja to meet up with their families.

Others were returned to their various homes within Plateau and its environs with the request of their parents.

Academics activities have since been suspended due to the rise in insecurity in the State.

A total of 135 students have been evacuated according to the Special Assistant.
