EPL: I Didn’t Expect Chelsea Would Drop Points – Klopp

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has reacted to Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Everton on Thursday night.

The former Borrusia Dortmund’s coach said he never anticipated that Thomas Tuchel’s citizens would drop points against the Toffees.

The 54-year-old coach revealed this following Liverpool’s 3-1 triumph over Newcastle on Thursday.

Chelsea had an excellent start to the ongoing season’s campaign but has struggled to keep up the momentum after a 2-1 league victory over Watford on the 1st of December.

Following that, the Champions of Europe have been inconsistent having secured one win in four games.

As if that is not enough, Chelsea’s defense line was perforated while the club conceded nine goals in those four matches.

West Ham began the wreck on the Blues with a 3-2 humiliation at London stadium before another 3-3 draw with Zenith in the UEFA Champions league fixture.

Meanwhile, Chelsea narrowly won against Leeds United 3-2 in the last weekend’s EPL tie before another disappointing 1-1 league draw with Everton at Stamford Bridge last night.

Chelsea are now sitting third with four points behind first-placed Manchester City and three points behind the second-placed Liverpool.

Klopp said: “I didn’t expect Chelsea would drop points, it is pretty rare I don’t know five or six players of the Everton lineup so to get a point at Chelsea is massive.”
