EPL: ‘I Don’t Play in My Preferred Positions’ – Pulisic Hits at Tuchel

Chelsea winger, Christian Pulisic has said his piece on his struggles at the Stamford Bridge.

The former Borussia Dortmund star claimed he has not been used in the positions he actually wants to play.

The 23-year-old has not yet succeeded to establish himself in the first eleven under Thomas Tuchel.

Captain America as nicknamed, also battled injuries since he joined the Blues in January, 2019.

Pulisic has played six games in several positions in a row over the festive time before he became an unused substitute in the club’s last two league games.

Pulisic who joined Chelsea in a transfer worth £57.6 million is presently away to represent his country in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers against El Salvador tomorrow.

The Friday’s clash will be the second time USA will be heading on El Salvador in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Pulisic told NBC Sports: “When I come to the national team it is “How are things with Chelsea?” and ‘What’s this” and “What’s that.” It’s tough.”

“Mentally it has played on me at times but I am always very excited to be on the national team and get to enjoy playing with these guys and just enjoy football in general.”

“It is tough. I haven’t always been playing in the positions I want to play in. But I think it is a good quality to be versatile and able to play in all kinds of positions and have different strengths on the pitch.”
