Erling Haaland Brushes Off Roy Keane’s ‘League Two Level’ Criticism

Erling Haaland

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has responded to a harsh comment made by former Premier League star Roy Keane, who recently criticized Haaland’s performance.

Keane labeled Haaland as “almost League Two level” following Manchester City’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal last month.

At that point, Haaland had gone five matches without scoring, and City had failed to find the net in a Premier League game at Etihad Stadium for the first time since October 2021.

Commenting on Sky Sports, Keane said about Haaland: “His general play is so poor, and not just today. His general play for such a top player is really bad; it’s almost like he’s playing at a League Two level.”

After Manchester City’s victory over Wolves on Saturday, Haaland was asked to respond to Keane’s critique.

The Norwegian striker simply said, according to ViaPlay, “I really don’t care about that man, so that’s alright.”
