Europa League: Barcelona Suffer Injury Setback Ahead Second Leg at Old Trafford

Barcelona have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of their Europa League play-off second-leg tie with Manchester United on February 23 at Old Trafford.

The La Liga gaints midfielder, Pedri sustained a thigh injury during his side’s 2-2 draw with Man Untied at the Camp Nou on Thursday.

The 20-year-old Spaniard had to be replaced just before halftime, and Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez confirmed after the match that the midfielder had suffered a thigh injury

Barcelona are already without Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Busquets due to injury, and now Pedri has been added to that list.

According to Diario AS, Pedri’s injury will keep him out for a month, meaning that he will be unlikely to return before the middle of March.

As a result, the midfielder will miss next week’s Europa League play-off second-leg fixture in England, as well as the La Liga tie against Cadiz on Sunday.
