Ex-ADP Candidate Joins APC, Vows to Oust Adeleke in 2026

BREAKING: Hoodlums Attack Governor Adeleke, PDP Leaders in Osogbo

Alhaji Moshood Kamal Okunola, former House of Representatives candidate for the Iwo Federal Constituency under the Action Democratic Party (ADP), has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside over 10,000 supporters.

The public declaration, which took place at Osogbo Junction, Iwo, was attended by prominent APC officials, including the state chairman, Hon. Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, and other party leaders.

Okunola characterized his move as a decisive blow to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming it marks the end of their influence in both Iwo and Osun State.

He urged the ruling party to reconsider its re-election strategies for 2026, citing mismanagement of resources and failures in infrastructure, particularly the neglected Iwo-Osogbo road.

“Under the current administration, the PDP has squandered a golden opportunity,” Okunola asserted, signaling a strong challenge to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership as the political landscape in Osun continues to evolve.
