The elder brother of the immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Aondona Dajoh, has died after collapsing a few hours following his sibling’s resignation from office.
The deceased, identified as Mr Gwamile Dajoh, was reported to have collapsed on Sunday after receiving news that his younger brother had formally stepped down as Speaker of the Assembly.

Details of the incident remain unclear at press time, but family sources suggested he had been deeply worried about the political crisis rocking the Assembly in recent weeks.
His death occurred shortly after Hon. Aondona Dajoh resigned, a move that led to the emergency election of Hon. Alfred Berger as the new Speaker of the House.
The development has thrown the Dajoh family into mourning and further underscored the tense political climate in Benue State.
