Ex Federal Government Worker Killed By Assassins On New Year Day

• A gang of yet assailants, suspected to be hired assassins have murdered a former federal government worker.

• The assailants were said to have followed the victim to his home, where they killed him.

A gang of 4 men, suspected to be assassins have murdered one AbdulRazaq Ajani, a retired controller of works at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the suspects who are said to be aged between 18-22 years old murdered the victim on New Year’s Day in illorin.

According to reports from Premium Times, the assailants followed him to his home in Offa, Kwara state, where they hacked him with small axes.

The incident occurred at about 3 p.m. at Dele Gege Street, Aderoju area, off Obafemi Awolowo Road in the Tanke Area of Ilorin the State capital.

Confirming the incident, a family member who described what he saw on CCTV said;

“A review of CCTV camera recordings showed two of them standing beside the gate of Mr Ajani’s residence, one of them sipping water from a plastic bottle, while the two others strolled into the compound. a source told the publication

“On noticing the young men from one of the two sitting rooms on the ground floor of the one-storey duplex building, the retired federal officer reportedly rose to meet them at the main door.

“They appeared to be engaging him in a discussion until he was suddenly lying face down on the ground,”

The police were contacted, and the deceased has been taken to the mortuary.
