“Throughout my time with the PDP, I remained deeply committed to its values and objectives. It has been a privilege to work alongside so many dedicated individuals,” he said.

However, Dudafa expressed disappointment over the unresolved internal disputes within the party, particularly at the national level, stating that such divisions have hindered progress and created an atmosphere of conflict rather than unity.

“In this regard, I wish to formally announce my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This decision was not made hastily but after due consideration and discussions with my close associates,” he added.

Dudafa, who is widely regarded as a political protégé of former President Goodluck Jonathan, confirmed his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and called on his loyal supporters to remain steadfast and focused as they embark on a new political journey.

Political observers in Bayelsa believe his defection could trigger significant political realignments in the state and potentially strengthen the APC’s presence in the region ahead of future contests.
