Sarah Ochekpe Sentenced to Three Months Imprisonment

Sarah Ochekpe, a former Minister of Water Resources, was sentenced to three months in prison by the Federal High Court in Jos on Tuesday.

Ochekpe, who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan, was sentenced alongside Raymond Dabo, the former Chairman of the People Democratic Party in Plateau State, and Leo-Sunday Jitong, the Plateau State Coordinator of the Jonathan Campaign Organization.

The three accused have been on trial since 2018 in a money laundering and conspiracy case brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission totaling over N450 million.
