• He was immediately rushed to a private hospital, stabilised, and remains under observation by a team of doctors.

Former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Dr. Abdulrasheed Maina, was hospitalised on Tuesday evening after collapsing while trying to enter his office premises in Abuja.

According to Emmanuel Umahi Ekwe, Media Assistant to Maina, the fall was linked to complications from an untreated knee injury, causing him to lose balance and sustain a head impact. He was promptly attended to by personnel at the scene and transferred to a private medical facility for urgent care.

Preliminary evaluations indicate that Dr. Maina remains under close observation, with doctors considering the possibility of air ambulance evacuation should advanced treatment become necessary.
