The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total sum of ₦1.92 trillion among the federal government, state governments and local government councils for the month of November 2025.

The allocation was made at FAAC’s December 2025 meeting in Abuja, chaired by the Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, according to information contained in the committee’s communiqué.

FAAC disclosed that the ₦1.92 trillion distributable revenue comprised ₦1.40 trillion in statutory revenue, ₦485.83 billion from value-added tax (VAT) and ₦39.64 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).

The committee said gross revenue available in November stood at ₦2.34 trillion, out of which ₦84.25 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while ₦330.62 billion was applied to transfers, interventions, refunds and savings.

FAAC noted that gross statutory revenue for November amounted to ₦1.736 trillion, representing a decline of ₦427.97 billion when compared to the ₦2.164 trillion recorded in October 2025.

On VAT, the committee said gross VAT revenue dropped to ₦563.04 billion in November, reflecting a ₦156.78 billion decrease from the ₦719.82 billion recorded in October. From the VAT revenue, ₦22.52 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while ₦54.68 billion was allocated to transfers, interventions and refunds.

A breakdown of the allocation showed that the federal government received ₦747.15 billion, the states got ₦601.73 billion, while local government councils received ₦445.26 billion. In addition, ₦134.35 billion, representing 13 per cent derivation revenue, was paid to oil-producing states.

From the ₦1.40 trillion statutory revenue, FAAC said the federal government received ₦668.33 billion, states got ₦338.98 billion, and local governments received ₦261.35 billion, with ₦134.36 billion paid as derivation revenue.

Similarly, from the ₦485.84 billion VAT revenue, the federal government received ₦72.88 billion, states got ₦242.92 billion, while local governments received ₦170.04 billion.

FAAC added that while excise duty recorded a moderate increase during the period, key revenue lines such as petroleum profit tax, hydrocarbon tax, company income tax, capital gains tax, oil and gas royalties, import duty, VAT and EMTL witnessed significant declines.
