FAAN advised passengers whose travel plans have been affected to contact their respective airlines for updated information on flight schedules, rebooking options and other necessary travel arrangements.
The authority said it is closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with aviation regulators and airline operators and will provide further updates when necessary.
FAAN also expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to travellers and appealed for understanding and cooperation during the period of disruption.
Meanwhile, the General Civil Aviation Authority announced a temporary partial closure of the United Arab Emirates airspace as a precautionary measure in response to evolving security concerns in the region.
Reports indicate that the temporary restriction was introduced to protect the UAE’s territory and ensure the safety of flights, passengers and aircrew operating within the airspace.
