WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook have all gone out of service in a major global outage.

The three frontline social media platform, owned by all by Facebook, and run on shared infrastructure – all stopped working just before 5pm on Tuesday October 4, 2021.

The downtime has stretched over 30 minutes as at the time of filing this report.

Whatsapp confirmed the outage on Twitter, which has left over 3 billion users locked out of the app.

@WhatsApp wrote;

“We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment.
“We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible.
“Thanks for your patience!”

This will be the second the trio would be experiencing a downtime in 2021. The first downtime was around March.
