Fake Corp Member Arrested in Adamawa

Men of the Adamawa police command have apprehended a man, who was parading himself as a National Youth Service Corp Member.

The suspect, identified as Dada Gbenga Ayomilekan, was said to have also forged an HND certificate, and a fake identification card, couple with other documents that were recovered fr the suspect.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Command, DSP Suleman Nguroke, said the suspect was arrested by the operatives attached to the state intelligence patrol to ensure safety and security in NYSC Orientation Camp in Girei Local Government Area.

“The suspect and resident of Hokolul street, Oyun tipper garage, Ilorin, Kwara state claimed to have graduated from Plateau State Polytechnic with lower credit grade and was sent to NYSC orientation camp and arrested on the 6th September, 2021,” the statement read.

The State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, who talked tough on the impersonators, directed the State intelligent Bureau (SIB), CP’s Monitoring unit, Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) to go after people of such questionable characters and checkmate the criminal activities in the camp.

The Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Adamu,  further directed that the matter be discreetly investigated and called on members of the public around the NYSC Camp not to hesitate in reporting men of suspicious conduct in and around the Camp to police officers or via these GSM numbers: 08089671313, 08107364974, 08053872326

In the same vein, the police boss directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police (CID) to immediately prosecute the suspect and anyone found committing a similar offense.
